So, yeah... for quite some time I was really into creating images of superheroes. It was a gaming thing. Bolstered by the efforts of a friend at the time, I tried my hand at creating versions of those characters I played, and sometimes even the characters of others.

Since my own ability to freehand draw is limited to stick men, I started the easy way: I copied. It's the most sincere form of flattery, right? Anyhow, what I would do is use an existing peice of art as a framework, and using line-tracing tools and the like adapt it to my own needs. The end result you see here.

I will never claim to truly own the final results -- not all the work was mine... but it was an effort to learn how to take the 'next step', freehand with 'templates'.
